Where Does the Cross Fit In?

The cross doesn’t seem to fit in with shepherds watching their flocks by night. Does the cross, which was an instrument of death, have anything to do with the birth of a baby in a manger?

“It’s not just about the manger where the baby lay,
It’s not just about the angels who sang for him that day,
It’s not just about the shepherds or the bright and shining star,
It’s not all about the wise men who traveled from afar.
It’s about the cross….

The beginning of the story is wonderful and great,
but it’s the ending that can save you and that’s why we celebrate.”

This Sunday we will wrap up our Christmas series with the reminder that Jesus birth was just the beginning.
And, yes, it is all about the cross.

Songs we’re singing this week:

8:00 a.m. — “Go, Tell It On the Mountain” and “Rejoice, Ye Pure in Heart”

10:30 a.m. — “Today Is the Day”, “Go Tell It On the Mountain” and “What a Beautiful Name”
