This Sunday we will be looking at one of the most dramatic events recorded in the New Testament. It’s found in John 11:36-45.
Many of us know what it’s like to watch a loved one die, and then go through the visitation, the funeral and the burial. Imagine that Jesus comes to your home and asks to see where your loved one is laid to rest. Imagine that you take Jesus to the cemetery where Jesus commands that the freshly filled grave be opened and the casket removed from the ground. What would you think? Imagine Jesus calling your loved one by name and seeing him sit up, crawl out of the casket and go home with you. Let’s admit – that would be unforgettable!
This amazing miracle proved that Jesus has authority over death. What does that mean for us?
See you Sunday!
