What Are You Doing With What God Has Given You?

This week we will be looking at two passages — Luke 19:11-27 and Matthew 25:14-30.

God has given each believer gifts for the benefit of the church and for the glory of God.  Our job is simple.

First, we are to find out what gifts and abilities we have been given.  We can do that by seeking God in prayer, talking to our friends about what they see in us, and experimenting with various areas of ministry to see what fits.  Most people already know what they are good at doing, they just never thought of those things as tools for ministry.

Second, we are to find a way to use those gifts to build up the body of Christ and bring glory and honor to the Father.

“Under his direction, the whole body is fitted together perfectly, and each part in its own special way helps the other parts, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love.” Ephesians 4:16

A healthy, growing, loving church — that is my prayer for Emanuel!

See you on Sunday!
