This Sunday we’ll be opening the Word together in the Book of Acts — Acts 4:32-5:11. Take a few minutes to read this passage sometime this week!
Jesus warns us that if we do our acts of righteousness to be seen by people, then we will have our reward in full. In other words, we will be commended and may receive applause, but our eternal reward will be forfeited. The better way is to focus on our private life with the Lord. If we spend time with God in secret and live our lives for Him and not others’ accolades we will not need to tell people we have been with Jesus. They will be able to see if for themselves. And the eternal reward will be lasting!
Hope to see you in church this Sunday!
Songs we’re singing this week:
