This week we will consider the fifth character trait listed in Colossians 3:12 — patience.
The only way to grow in the area of patience is to be put in frustrating situations where waiting is required. That doesn’t sound like much fun. The dictionary defines patience as:
- the bearing of provocation, annoyance, misfortune, or pain, without complaint, loss of temper, irritation, or the like.
- an ability or willingness to suppress restlessness or annoyance when confronted with delay.
- quiet, steady perseverance; even-tempered care; diligence.
Who needs to work on patience? We all do! Who wants to have patience extended to them? We all do! Let’s work on it together.
See you in church!
