This Sunday we will move on in the series “What Not to Wear”, based on Colossians 3. “Take off the old self with its practices and put on the new self.” (v. 9-10)
In the days of the early church, the gospel of Jesus Christ was revolutionary. Its doors were suddenly opened to the despised Gentiles. Women were treated with respect and honor. Slaves were welcomed as brothers and sisters in Christ. The church led the way in knocking down barriers and the gospel leveled the playing field. It didn’t matter what people looked like externally — all were in need of a Savior and amazing grace. We still are.
Songs we’re singing this week:
9:00 a.m. — “This Is Amazing Grace”, “King of My Heart”, “Blessed Assurance” and “Breathe on Me, Breath of God”
