On the day Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead, two groups of people left the cemetery. One group headed back to the home of Martha and Mary to celebrate the miraculous resurrection of Lazarus. The other group headed down the road to Jerusalem to inform the religious leaders of Jesus’ latest bold action. These two very opposing reactions revealed the hearts of those who witnessed this event. Some rejoiced, others complained. Some recognized the Messiah, others conspired to put Him to death.
How do you respond to the power of God at work in your life? Does it leave you in awe and wonder, or does it threaten your status quo?
Prepare your heart to receive the Word with joy this Sunday! Read John 11:45-57.
