Cultivating Gratitude

This week we will continue in our November series on gratitude by looking at Luke 17:11-19, the account of the ten lepers that were healed by Jesus, yet only one returned to say thanks.

We are all guilty of failing to thank God for His many blessings. Instead we might say, “I thank my lucky stars” or “I guess the planets are aligning for me today”. Perhaps we tend to hold back our thanks to God because we feel we have earned the good things we have. Whatever the reason, we’re not much different from the nine lepers who went on their merry way after receiving an incredible gift. What if we took note of this Biblical account and, like the leper, ran to Jesus, fell flat on the ground and expressed our gratitude?

See you in church!
