This week we will look at Luke 24:13-35 — the story of two disciples on the road to Emmaus.
As they left Jerusalem and headed home to Emmaus, these two probably shuffled their feet in discouragement and they must have talked in somber tones. There was great disappointment and sorrow among the disciples over Jesus’ death. But something happened on that road — the risen Savior joined them and that changed everything, including the direction they were going.
On their trip back to Jerusalem, everything was different. Their pace was quick, their tone was animated and they were filled with excitement. What a difference Jesus makes!
See you in church!
